ST. PAUL HISTORY

March 1948 – St. Paul started out as a mission, with twelve members. Services were held in the home of the Roberts.

October 1948 – Uner the leadership of Rev. G.C. Northern, the church moved from the home of the Roberts to 2417 Burnett Way.

April 1957 – In January 1957 St Paul agreed to purchase the property of First Southern Baptist Church. On April 7, 1957, our church marched from 2417 Burnett Way to its new home at 4020 12th Avenue.

May 1971 – On May 24, 1971, Rev. Williams was elected as Pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

May 1981 – On May 24, 1981, St. Paul burned its mortgage.

August 1991 - On August 25, 1991 we broke ground for the new edifice.

July 1993 – On July 11, 1993 we marched to the new edifice at 3996 14th Avenue.

November 2000 – On November 12, 2000, St. Paul burned the mortgage for the current church and moved into the new century with a debt-free edifice.

July 2004 – St. Paul breaks ground on the Family Life Center. Construction begins with a completion date of October 2005.

October 2005 – The Capital Stewardship Campaign hosts a banquet for funds to pay off the Family Life Center loan.
